Delta Health System - The Medical Center is Hiring a Laboratory - Histology Supervisor Near Greenville, MS
Receives and accurately processes surgical or diagnostic tissue specimens from various hospital departments and physician offices. Accurately prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by Pathologist. Identifies, prepares, cuts, stains and preserves specimens in such a manner as assist the Pathologist to render a reliable diagnosis. Maintains Pathology laboratory equipment and supplies.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Histology Technician training at a certified training program/healthcare careers college or under the supervision of a Pathologist for 1-2 years.
Three years related experience.
Current Histology Technician certification by a nationally recognized agency.
