Delt/Pharmacann Copy is Hiring an Irrigation Technician Near Denver, CO

Purpose

The Irrigation Tech is responsible for a variety of irrigation duties, including but not limited to checking and implementing daily watering schedules to ensure plant health and product quality. The focus of the Irrigation Tech is to meet daily productivity, quality and compliance requirements. Irrigation Techs must ensure that the correct plants are appropriately equipped with emitters that follow company standards. This position will communicate and coordinate directly with the Argus Technicians to ensure timely and accurate application of the company’s irrigation procedures. The Irrigation Tech is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

Essential Duties

Monitoring and Application

  • Monitor each row of plants looking for any sign of wilted plants which may require immediate attention.
  • Ensure all plants that have emitters have been accurately and successfully watered.
  • Identify and repair any necessary issues pertaining to emitter lines.
  • Hand water plants that may need special treatment.
  • Properly stake each plant with an emitter line once it is loaded into flower.
  • Conduct emitter output test periodically.

Reporting and Inventory

  • Report to the Irrigation Technicians/Area Manager for any table drainage or emitter problems.
  • Keep an accurate inventory list for the water supply cabinet.

Workspace and Material Maintenance

  • Collect and clean pieces of equipment.
  • Keep all equipment in good working order.
  • Purge table lines according to company procedures.
  • Clear tables of any loose debris.
  • Remove and raise plants that are sitting in puddles.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools and related equipment (emitter heads and lines, tables, floors etc.).

Quality Control and Data Entry

  • Performs basic quality control checks for all equipment. 
  • Accurately fill out all paperwork/spreadsheets.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Work in a safe manner according to Company and OSHA policies.
  • Ensure that workflow and work procedures are followed for processing integrity. Ensure all documentation and appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.

Other Duties 

  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work such harvesting, trimming, packaging, farm, cure, cleaning and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.

Supervision

  • Works under the general supervision of the Irrigation Manager and takes direction from the Irrigation Supervisors.
  • This person does not supervise others. 

Job Qualifications

Work Experience

  • One to three years of work experience in a related industry or work environment.
  • Six months to one year of experience on the Farm Squad required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful demeanor towards others.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED. 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Expectations 

  • Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
