Position Title: Tax Associate

Location: Stamford, CT

Overview:

The Tax Associate will report to the Senior Associate/Manager and will work closely with other members of the Finance team, including Fund Accounting, Treasury, Investor Services, and Business Intelligence teams to help create and enhance tax reporting for the firm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and review tax workpapers, schedule K-1s/K-3s, tax estimates, and tax filings related to funds, holding investment companies, and GP entities(including but not limited to extensions, Forms 1065, 1120, 1120-F, 8865, 8886, 8621, 5471, 1042, PFIC Statements, FBARs, 1099s etc.)

• Assist and coordinate with multiple tax providers to ensure all the necessary files are posted to the tax providers and timely tax deliverables are prepared and distributed to the LPs and GPs

• Assist with federal, state, and local tax notices resolutions, estimated tax payments, applications for EINs/Form 8832 check-the-box elections, and Forms W-9s/W-8s preparation, collection, and validation

• Prepare and update ASC-740 memos each year

• Coordinate FATCA and CRS filings in various jurisdictions to ensure compliance

• Correspond with LPs and GPs for tax related inquiries

• Work on various ad hoc projects

Qualified candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required (CPA and/or Master’s degree is a plus).

• 2 - 4 years of experience in private equity/venture capital/private credit funds tax compliance.

• Tax experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
