Day Training Supervisor
Monday through Friday 7:45am-4:30pm

Overview of Position:
The Day Training Supervisor oversees and supervises direct support services and Direct Support Professionals of SCL and Michelle P Waiver (MPW) recipients with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Services provided may include any of the following; respite care, homemaker services, personal care, adult day training (ADT), community living supports (CLS), Community Access (CA), and Personal Assistance (PA) in accordance with SCL and MPW regulations.
Qualifications:
The Adult Day Training Supervisor is to have, at a minimum:
  1. Two years of experience in providing services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  2. A high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years or older; or
be 21 years or older;
  1. Ability to adequately communicate with recipients and staff;
  2. A valid Social Security number or a valid work permit if not a U.S. citizen;
  3. Ability to understand and carry out instructions and have the ability to keep simple records;
  4. Must be able to meet the physical and emotional demands of the participant, which can include lifting, running, and de-escalating emotional situations.
  5. Ability to meet all deadlines as required by Aspire Mentoring Foundation.
  6. Ability to accept constructive criticism and willingness to self-improve.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  1. Be familiar with SCL and Michelle P Waiver regulations.
  2. Must complete a supervisory training curriculum approved by DBHDID within six (6) months of beginning supervisory responsibilities.
  3. Oversee and supervise employees and subcontractors ensuring services provided to participants stay within the requirements of the SCL and MPW regulations and within the approved number of units as listed on their Prior Authorization.
  4. Represent the program's mission and core values of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
  5. Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of employees, contractors, and volunteers.
  6. Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations.
  7. Responsible for annual evaluation of employees and subcontractors.
  8. Ensuring employees receive training in required time frames and stay current on recertification trainings.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude.
  10. Stay within budgeted guidelines of supervised services.
  11. Ensure waiver participants are always learning and never bored.
  12. Provide transportation to activities as needed.
  13. Responsible for compliance of SCL and MPW records on caseload.
  14. Complete all training in the required timeframes and stay current on all recertification training.
  15. Participate in the Quality Improvement Committee
  16. Complete site visits as needed.
  17. Participate in the Regional HRC/BIC meetings as needed.
  18. Participate in Person Centered Team Meetings as needed.
  19. Conduct individualized trainings on waiver participant with the DSP.
  20. Coordinate with Case Managers and Person Centered Team for Person Centered Team Meetings.
  21. Ensure service note documentation properly reflects service definition and are completed in a timely manner
  22. Other duties assigned
