Work Location Delicato Vineyards Manteca, Delicato Vineyards Napa

Position Purpose

Acting on own initiative, the Global Logistics Analyst provides critical analytical and operational support to the Global Logistics team while working cross functionally with Supply Chain, Winery Operations, CRG, Sales, and Finance internal stakeholders as well as external winery partners including but not limited to Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, and trucking/drayage/rail providers.

This role will support Supply Chain initiatives in meeting customer demand, driving process improvement, and optimizing our freight network for bulk wine and cased goods imports. Working with a dynamic team, the Global Logistics Analyst will establish strong business partnerships as well as provide logistics trend analytics and reporting in support of supply/demand needs.

Functional Responsibility

Essential Duties

  • Reviews and regularly reports on logistics trends across our global network to provide operational and analytical support to Supply Chain initiatives and cross-functional partners
  • Manages a working file of international shipments using internal and external data sources
  • Works closely with Global Logistics Manager to prepare and deliver reports for internal stakeholders
  • Manages carrier rate sheets, including weekly fuel and monthly BAF trackers
  • Provides logistical support and problem resolution for various operational groups as needed
  • Communicates with 3rd party vendors to ensure quality and continuity of service
  • Reviews and reconciles freight invoices for approval
  • Supports Global Logistics Director as needed for freight analysis projects
  • Analyzes and communicates monthly metrics and key performance trends to identify areas of efficiencies, cost reduction, and other opportunities; and develop solutions with operational leadership
  • Executes and supports strategies set forth to improve supply chain performance while identifying goals to support supply chain, logistics, and company strategy

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred
  • 3 years' experience in logistics/transportation or related function
  • Prior experience with international transportation, specifically ocean freight, preferred
  • Prior experience in adult beverage or CPG industries preferred

Certificates and Licenses

  • N/A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires cross-functional relationship building
  • Strong ability to analyze multi-dimensional data and complex information
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, ERP (SAP preferred), and Power BI/Power Pivot

Working Conditions

  • General office environment with occasional travel
  • Required to drive automotive equipment
  • Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $64,998.24 to $101,552.88. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
