Overview:
Following policies set forth by the Company, provide support through the preparation of financial statements, recording of new purchases, analyzing transactions, assisting in the execution of 3rd-party audits, maintenance of detailed balance sheet reconciliations, assistance with payroll preparation & disbursement, preparation of general ledger entries, evaluation of current accounting procedures, and the implementation of adjusted accounting processes and procedures in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Functions:
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
Ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals
Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
Prepare documentation for external auditors upon request
Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
Assist in payroll preparation and disbursement
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records & files, and reconciling accounts
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes
Answer’s accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information, converting data to the general ledger system, and obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Maintain up-to-date job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and attending professional seminars & workshops
