PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Residential Loan Operations Officer the incumbent will be the primary representative responsible for the Investor Administration, Loan Sale Administration, and General Ledger Loan Operations reconciliation under established guidelines and policies by performing the following duties. Incumbent will be primary back up for Exceptions Processor. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete monthly remittance for Investor Reporting loans including monthly reconciliation of their respective DDA.
  • Prepare all tickets and reconcile monthly remittances from purchased and participation loans. Ensure these loans are being serviced per loan purchase/servicing agreements.
  • Ensure all funds due for investors’ monthly remittances are remitted within the allotted time, avoiding late remittance penalties, including loan pay payoffs.
  • Obtain confirmation of all deliveries; monitor receipt of funding; and prepare all tickets associated with the funding on time.
  • Remain abreast of Fannie Mae guideline changes as they pertain to Investor Reporting and remitting.
  • Reconcile all investor control and DDA accounts for principal and interest, taxes and insurance Perform the research and resolution of any investor outages.
  • Update and monitor Fannie Mae notifications through appropriate reporting systems and communicate any significant changes to management.
  • Submit completed documents for sold loans before the commitment expiration date.
  • Ensure all documentation is delivered to investors’ bank files are updated accordingly.
  • Perform all data entry to the secondary market systems upon request of management on all loan sales.
  • Prepare all tickets and perform all data entry upon receipt of funding advice.
  • Prepare monthly Loan Sales Report. 
  • Monitor all loans serviced by others, report on others, and apply for funding appropriately.
  • Conduct the monthly review of exception or extraordinary accounts. 
  • Conduct a quarterly review of Interest Accruals and prepare adjustments to the general ledgers, as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly reconciliation of all Loan General Ledger Accounts. 
  • Complete accurate and timely annual certifications for all Investors 
  • Reconcile critical Loan Operations control accounts daily. Report on unidentified variances to management. 
  • Reconcile all Loan Operations control accounts to the Bank’s General Ledger. Identify and analyze variances.
  • Prepare entries, review, and reconcile all fee-related entries.
  • Reconcile Online payment account to clear appropriate GL’s daily and review payment activity.
  • Assist with any audit requests and findings about Investor Administration, Loan Sales, and General Ledger Reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update all current procedures related to the job function.
  • Assist with customer service issues, as needed.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and knowledge of all Bank products and services to properly service the borrowers and loans.

  • High school diploma or two to four years of equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of daily loan operations functions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and resolution skills
  • High level of accuracy and detail-orientation
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workflow.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
