Decker Truck Line, Inc. is Hiring a Diesel Mechanic $3000 Sign-on Bonus Near Bessemer, AL
We are looking for an individual to join our team as 1st Shift Diesel Mechanics at our Bessemer terminal. Great 4 day schedule of Tues-Fri 7am-5pm OR 3 day weekend schedule of Sat/Sun/Mon 6am-6pm and on call as needed. $3000 sign-on bonus for a new experienced Diesel Mechanic! $3/hr shift differential for Weekend Shift after training!
A day in the life of a Decker Diesel Mechanic looks like:
- Providing maintenance and repair on a private fleet of well-equipped, late model trucks and trailers with top of the line technology
- Processing work orders
- Accurately filling out necessary documents
- Opportunity for growth into shop leadership for the right person
- Also looking for a Lead Mechanic if you have prior supervisory experience
- Other duties as assigned
- Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
- Paccar experience preferred
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver's license required
- Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.
- Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures
- Steel and Aluminum Welding experience is a plus
- Reefer experience is a plus
- CDL a plus but not required
