David S Wiener DDS PC is Hiring a Dental assistant Near Smithtown, NY

Well established Smithtown dental practice with outstanding staff seeks the right person to join our

office family. Friendly, caring, busy, and professional atmosphere lightened with a good deal of laughter.

Nice place to work 3 days a week plus half day every 3rd Saturday. Be our comforting smile and caring

touch for our patients during their treatment.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the doctors and patients chairside during treatment.
  • Assist other dental assistants as a roving assistant (we utilize 2 assistants for 1 doctor, or 3 assistants for 2 doctors).
  • Turnover and prepare treatment rooms.
  • Process and sterilize instruments.
  • Take digital x-rays (Air Techniques Scan-X PSP system).
  • Take impressions and pour models.
  • Scan for digital impressions (3Shape Trios Scanner).
  • Ordering of supplies, management of lab cases and equipment maintenance.
  • Anything else needed to make it all happen smoothly, efficiently, and with a happy and

successful outcome for all, what we do is a team sport.

Requirements :

Must be good at multi-tasking and able to figure out what and how to do what needs to get

done without a lot of direction.

Great interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and love of learning are

invaluable.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of four handed dentistry.
  • A working knowledge of Dentrix software would be helpful.
  • Ability to cover front desk on occasion would be helpful.
  • Hours needed : Mondays 10-7, Tuesdays 9-6, Thursdays 9-6, every third Saturday 8-1.

Job type : Part time with potential to become full time.

Pay : Flexible from $20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
