**Senior EHS Specialist, Kohler Luxury Brands**

**Location:** Hybrid at Bristol, Portland or Baltimore

The Senior EHS Specialist serves as the primary lead for coordinating all Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements and standards for assigned worksites at Ann Sacks and Robern. They will develop and implement projects and procedures to improve health & safety performance, improve regulatory compliance position, improve processes, and minimize liability. The main areas of focus for this position are:

Safety performance improvement projects and on-site coaching/mentoring

Injury and risk reduction efforts in ergonomics, industrial hygiene and behavior-based safety

EHS program and training development and deployment

Immediate response to safety emergencies (accident investigation and root cause determination, OSHA inspection assistance, etc.)

Involvement with best safety practice implementation

**Specific Responsibilities**

Site Safety Lead: Visits all worksites and leads any incident investigations for root cause and preventative actions.Coordinate and perform / consult on PPE / JHA analysis as needed.Share on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies when notified.Provide investigative support and technical guidance as necessary to abate emergency conditions, identify causes and initiate preventative measures. Review proposed projects and Authorized Corporate Transactions for safety concerns.Provide comments and technical guidance on same.

Develop and implement injury and risk reduction programs:Responsible for development and implementation of site Injury Prevention Plan.Perform ergonomic and health hazard evaluations to identify, evaluate and control risk within the work environment.Utilize company tools and equipment to assist in the identification and evaluation of risk, assist in the identification of solutions and lead / assist in the implementation of solutions to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.Drive improvement in Safety Culture through setting of standards and Behavior Based Safety leadership.Responsible for establishing and heading the site safety committee and behavior-based safety team.

Identify, Exchange and Implement Best Safety Practices & Benchmark Industries: Identify suitable best safety practices for deployment at Kohler facilities and benchmark industries with world class safety programs to identify best practices.

Participate in Regulatory Compliance issues: Responsible for supporting safety and environmental compliance inspections. Develop and implement safety programs in response to new regulations. Provide interpretation and technical support to production and engineering areas.

**Skills/Requirements**

Four-year degree preferred with at least three years of broad related experience in industrial environments related to a role responsible for EHS. Ability to understand OSHA standards and Regulations. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to foster management and associate participation, have good interpersonal communication and computer skills. Knowledge of behavior-based safety programs a plus.

Proven ability to use systematic problem solving to solve challenges.

Professional communication ability - both written and verbal. Communicates succinctly with the customer (audience) in mind.

Excellent team facilitation skills. Build teams in a collaborative work style; Previous successful experience in team building and motivating others a plus.

Leadership and Change Agent skills. Able to overcome obstacles using positive facilitation, teamwork, and influence through building and maintaining relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Viso, preferred.

Multi-site / multi-state experience a plus.

_The salary range for this position is $73,400 - $92,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k._
