About this Opportunity:
DTCC's Information Technology (IT) Risk Management program is designed to identify, manage, measure and mitigate risks in all IT Capabilities.
Maintaining and enhancing IT risk management framework. The framework is comprised of tools and processes to help DTCC:
  • Identify new risks, changes in risk, or relationships between risks
  • Assess the scope and quality of internal controls, and
  • Monitor and escalate key matters of risk and control.
  • Formulating, disseminating and administering IT risk management policy and procedures;
  • Providing risk and control consultation, and verification of control effectiveness to support DTCC Corporate Goals and improving the IT control environment;
  • Liaising with Legal, Regulatory Relations, Office of Corporate and Regulatory Compliance, and other subject matter experts within the organization to ensure that risks and appropriate mitigants are identified and communicated throughout the organization.
Position Summary:
An IT PRC Senior Associate has primary responsibility of managing the involvement of IT for Regulatory Exams, in addition to providing guidance & oversight for the Quarterly Reg SCI Material System Change Reporting process and its automation. This involves working closely with other team members who are collecting the necessary data (as well the Project Manages and the Responsible SCI Personnel - RSPs who are providing & approving the data) by leading discussions, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and executing the governance activities that are required. The incumbent will execute and support day-to-day IT risk management activities, manage deadlines and stakeholder expectations, and lead or participate in projects within assigned areas of responsibility, as well as those that arise on an ad-hoc basis when that is necessary.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the policy, procedure, job aid, and controls that govern the work of IT Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners and risk control functions
  • Develop, communicate and ensure adherence to department risk policies, procedures and best practices;
  • Reassess existing processes and automate where possible or create new ones that most effectively anticipate, manage and reduce risk regulatory reporting & compliance risk to DTCC and its participants;
  • Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Demonstrate and embed the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset in your organization; and
  • Support ongoing staff education and coach and develop team members on effective risk management.
  • Execution of Regulatory Reporting Reconciliation and other control mechanisms used to confirm the accuracy and completeness of IT Regulatory Reporting. This involves managing evidence requests, review of artifacts, and documentation of results.
IT PRC Senior Associate is responsible for preparing and providing standard and recurring, such as:
  • Managing IT responses to the request list that is provided by Regulators prior to each exam
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to obtain evidence and clarity on open inquiries
  • Maintain timely records of which requests for information have been completed, reviewed, and approved
  • Ensure that the Quarterly Reg SCI Material System Change Reporting process is timely, accurate, and complete.
Talent Needed for Success:
  • 3-5 years experience as a risk and control professional focused on Regulatory Reporting in the financial service industry, or equivalent.
  • Experience with the implementation of automation that addresses timeliness, accuracy & completeness of Regulatory Reporting is a major plus.
  • Leading discussions with key stakeholders and staff to collect information requests and review data that has been submitted.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technology background including experience with Sharepoint and other productivity tools that are used to enhance existing processes, and automate them where possble
  • Demonstrated ability to work pro-actively with all levels of management and staff
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter, who can set priorities, take initiative and work both independently and proactively in a dynamic team environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and be flexible;
  • Ability/willingness to meet aggressive deadlines and objectives;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a highly developed customer service orientation, and ability to work effectively with all levels of internal staff, and external contacts;
  • Strong planning and project management skills;
  • Strong process mapping and data collection and analysis skills
Education, Training &/or Certification:
  • BA / BS or equivalent. Advanced degree and/or certification a plus
Supervision Exercised: PRC Senior Associate may have the opportunity to supervise junior resources as the team grows.
