Job Description - Analyst (226 Days) (RTP20240326-013)Job DescriptionAnalyst (226 Days) - ( RTP20240326-013 )DescriptionEnsure accurate and timely processing required for monthly payroll (~20,000employees) and biweekly payroll (~4000 employees).Process any additional runs that may be required and/or identified in the payrollcalendars.Coordinate the setup, testing and outcome of new element requests to be used inpayroll, to include gathering the required data, setting up in a test environment, andmonitoring the efforts with all impacted departments.Test processes and approve change documents to be migrated to the productionenvironment.Responsible for testing any changes or updates to the system performed bydevelopers or functional users to ensure no impact to the payroll processing.Prepare monthly calendar of activities for the payroll department to be published forcommunication.Submit the State Quarterly Unemployment report within the deadlines and ensuredistribution to Risk Management department.Participate in the development and implementation of systems and processes toimprove the efficiency and effectiveness of the Payroll functions; submit servicerequests to resolve any issues.Serve as the subject matter expert as it relates to payroll processing.Collect, analyze and interpret large amounts of data and prepare special reports formanagement as requested; provide feedback or suggestions for improvement orcorrection.Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effortreporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, asappropriate.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a finance related fieldMinimum three - five years' directly related experienceKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures, and operations.Knowledge of payroll functions and associated reporting.Ability to resolve problems encountered in the payroll department.Excellent computer skills, specifically with MS Windows, MS Office Professional, and financialsystems.Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to payrollaccounting.Ability to communicate and interface effectively with a wide variety of district personnel.Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
