Dakota Supply Group (DSG) is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor in our Fargo, ND location. In this full time, hourly position, work typically ranges between the hours of 9:30am and 6:30pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for oversight of the daily shipping operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of products.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor at DSG:

• Plan, coordinate, and maintain the daily shipping workload, prioritizing orders and communicating with customers and warehouse and sales team members to ensure on-time deliveries
• Oversee the efficient and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products, adhering to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and ensure proper freight classification
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales staff to resolve any shipping discrepancies
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize shipping efficiency and accuracy
• Create and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers
• Oversee that the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse is in an efficient, effective and safe manner
• Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures
• Model courteous, prompt, and efficient service to customers as needed
• Perform other warehouse duties or projects as needed or assigned by management

A Successful Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor Typically Has:

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and shipping operations, methods, and best practices normally acquired in 3-5 years of field experience or equivalent training.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• An in-depth understanding of company policies, products, procedures, and operations.
• The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and to work effectively under pressure and deadlines.
• Applicable computer/technical skills as required for the job.
• A knack for analyzing problems in order to propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, execute decisions, and follow-up with feedback as appropriate.
• The physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• An innate dedication to develop and support an environment of teamwork.
