Embroidery Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team in Lubbock, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience operating embroidery machines in a production environment and possess a keen eye for detail. As an integral part of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the machines to produce high-quality embroidered products. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, located in our Lubbock, TX office.

Responsibilities:

• Operate embroidery machines to create custom designs on various materials
• Ensure that machines are properly set up and maintained
• Monitor machines to ensure that they are running properly
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet quality expectations
• Assist with other tasks as needed
• Operate embroidery machines to embroider designs onto various materials, including garments, hats, bags, and other items.
• Set up and prepare machines for embroidery jobs, including selecting appropriate threads, needles, and backing materials.
• Load designs into the machine's computer system and adjust settings such as stitch density, tension, and speed to achieve desired results.
• Monitor machine operation during production runs to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles and other components as needed.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Keep accurate records of production output, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.
• Work closely with other team members, including designers and production supervisors, to coordinate job scheduling and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating embroidery machines in a production environment. We work with Tajima & Amaya machines.
• Strong understanding of embroidery techniques, including digitizing, hooping, and thread tensioning.
• Ability to interpret design specifications and make adjustments to achieve desired results.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards under tight deadlines.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on embroidery machines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
