*Adult Day Program Experience Preferred*
DABS Inc works to support developmentally disabled adults who are facing placement challenges through Regional Center Social Services. We develop placement opportunities and help clients achieve a dignified experience of living and thriving within a network of community support and outreach.
We accomplish this through teaching life skills that enable our clients to reach their goals, create lasting and meaningful relationships, and to have access to equal opportunities for learning and community outreach. We also provide guidance and instruction to our clients so that they can make their own informed decisions based on their own needs and wishes without threatening nor restricting independence. The Tailored Day Services Program targets specific goals that our Participants have, such as earning their GED, attending community college classes, learning pre-vocational skills, utilizing public transportation, or other activities that require support in their local communities. At times the Participant is also working on decreasing maladaptive behaviors that are barriers to their reaching goals, so DABS pairs them with a Behavior Technician who has a general understanding of applied behavior analysis, has experience managing behavior escalation in the community, and can implement a positive behavior support plan, overseen with support by a BCBA.
