Introduction:
Our customer seeks a Cybersecurity/Technical Intelligence Engineer in the Washington, D.C. area. This position requires an active TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph clearance.
The Cybersecurity Engineer role involves developing, implementing, and supporting technical intelligence and tradecraft capabilities. The engineer will develop tools and support ongoing development and transition tools and systems to the Customer's Enterprise system. The work also includes following policy requirements, creating scalable and secure functionality, and conducting technical experiments to test tradecraft concepts.
Role Requirements:
1. Develop new tools based on Customer requirements without code reuse.
2. Productize proof-of-concept capabilities into tools that satisfy operational requirements.
3. Identify open-source capabilities or characterize Customer-provided tools to support operational requirements.
4. Correlate data from various sources to create real-time patterns of life predictability.
5. Support ongoing development of tools to gather data from various COTS sensor-based sources.
6. Transition developed tools and systems to the Customer's Enterprise system.
7. Follow policy requirements related to application retooling and development.
8. Modify applications to meet compliance with the Customer's architectural and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process.
9. Develop tools to enable technology starting from various initial maturity levels.
10. Support scalable and secure functionality in software applications.
11. Use Machine Learning to simulate human learning activities to improve performance.
12. Develop a data framework for data analysis to support end-user data discovery and data correlation.
13. Design, set up, and perform technical demonstrations.
14. Incorporate multiple technologies for novel solutions.
15. Enact ad-hoc technical experiments to test tradecraft concepts.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
1. Demonstrated experience with detailed knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) related to cybersecurity, at a minimum, ICD 503.
2. Demonstrated experience with configuration systems or network monitoring tools like SecurityOnion or Nagios.
3. Demonstrated experience describing complex technical matters to non-technical trained staff.
4. Demonstrated experience with strong cybersecurity and awareness skills.
5. BSc, BA in computer science, or 4 years' experience in computer science/software development.
Nice to Have:
1. Demonstrated experience deploying Dockerized Python microservices with FastAPI.
2. Demonstrated experience developing user interfaces with Typescript using the Vue framework with the open-source Leaflet and PixiJS libraries.
3. Demonstrated experience deploying Docker containers for staged applications.
4. Demonstrated experience using Git and Gitlab.
5. Demonstrated experience collecting and managing user requirements in a formal and ad-hoc manner.
