RESPONSIBILITIES As a Caregiver, you will be primarily responsible for providing companionship and assistance with meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping, including:
Must be able to help a patient transfer, assist with ADLs, take vital signs, properly report concerns to nursing support team, light house cleaning and cooking, as well as other common nursing aide duties.
Ability to provide basic care to patients, including assist with daily activities such as personal care, light cooking and cleaning, changing bed linens, arranging appointments.
Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests
Communicate concerns to support team when assistance is necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work 2 or more 12 hour shifts per week
Ability to travel to patient's home location
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stretch, reach
Ability to lift, assist and maneuver patients, as needed
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Ability to demonstrate dedication and patience
Ability to think critically
Must remain alert and observant
Valid driver's license and transportation
Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
Patients live valley-wide: primarily Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and Fountain Hills
GOOD TO HAVE
C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCT (Personal Care Technician) experience is preferred but not required.
We also accept applications from non-CNAs that are in medical school to become a doctor or nursing school, as well as companions, certified caregivers, patient care technicians (P.C.T.), home health aides (HHAs H.H.A.) with relevant experience.
