Learning and Development Analyst

Location: Austin, TX

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, hybrid or remote

Pay: $30/hr

Duration: 1 year, potential to get extended or go permanent based on business needs

An industry leading grocer is seeking a Learning and Development Analyst to join their team for a 1-year contract assignment. The Learning and Development Analyst will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and delivery of training programs, practices, and procedures to all levels of the organization. Determines company needs for interpersonal skills, communication, and other individual and team development needs. Provides on-going consultation on Learning & Development research, learning theory and technologies, motivation theory, and instructional design. Engages with Retail team trainers, Talent Management, and other internal stakeholders to understand, support, and advise on specific training needs. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for course content and delivery. May be involved in both the development and delivery of training programs. May also facilitate design and delivery by external experts and consultants.

Job Duties:

• Provides Learning & Development support for assigned content categories and/or segments of the organization or for specific initiatives and programs.
• Partners with internal stakeholders, including Global, store / regional leadership and Retail team trainers, to define and develop learning solutions that accurately reflect individual and /
• or team development needs.
• Partners with all necessary stakeholders to understand training needs associated with new TM onboarding, product knowledge, compliance, leadership development, succession and
• replacement planning, providing advice and assistance where needed.
• Works with assigned content categories and/or organizations on the full range of Learning &
• Development functions, including:

o Conducting needs assessments to determine knowledge gaps, identify and recommend appropriate learning solutions,

o Planning, scheduling, researching, editing, and writing a wide range of learning experiences, using a variety of media.

o Designing and coordinating layout and organization and development of learning solutions

o Designing learning program implementation and sustainability solutions.

o Preparing and distributing training content, such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, visual aids, reports, etc.

o Delivering and / or facilitating training through various methods, including instructor-led, virtually, or blended

o Evaluating learning outcomes and recommending improvement strategies and tactics

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 2-4 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Working knowledge of Learning & Development, Program & Project Management concepts, practices, and processes.
• Ability to brainstorm and assist in implementation of learning solutions within an assigned area of responsibility.
• Tailors communication approach to specific situations and audiences.
• Provides first point of contact for leadership and / or Team Member questions.
• Facilitates the resolution of emerging transactional issues.
• Makes sound decisions based on available information.
• Gathers, consolidates, and analytically processes information.
• Ability to adjust processes and Learning & Development methods based on feedback and new information.
• Understanding of business objectives of Company and supported region / stores business objectives.
• Understands how effective people management systems can differentiate our company from the competition
• Understands the Company product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
• Works effectively with others, in groups, in cross-functional settings, and with diverse
• stakeholders internally and externally.
• Displays strong levels of customer service.

Must have proven knowledge in:

• ADDIE Model
• Learning Objectives/Bloom's Taxonomy
• Technical/business writing

Must be proficient in the following apps:

• Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Articulate
• Prefer proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing software (such as Camtasia)
