Discover a Whole New World at Aquarium Adventure, one of Chicagoland's largest tropical fish stores. We are looking for dedicated and enthused individuals who we can train to become members of our team and gain the title of Fish Specialists. This role will be a combination of both fish keeping and customer service.
No previous knowledge? Not a problem!! We provide all the necessary training needed to excel in this position as a Fish Specialist. However, previous retail sales is highly preferred.
Qualifications:

• Passion for the aquatic life (This is a MUST. You will be with our fish the majority of your day. We need individuals who are dedicated and able to transfer their excitement to the customers.)
• Self motivated (We do not micromanage. We need individuals who knows what has to be done, and takes the initiative to get it done.)
• Comfortable conversing with customers (Our customer service holds no bounds. Our Fish Specialist are required to speak with every customer that comes through our doors. We have both hobbyists and people new to the aquarium world. Being able to relate to our customers and connect with them is key.)
• Positive and outgoing (A smile is contagious. This is a very fun working environment, and want people to enjoy coming to work. An individual who is able to look at the glass half full, at all times.)
• Ability to work both as a team and on your own (Our staff has a wide variety of tasks. Anything from cashier to cleaning to customer service to feeding. Team work is crucial to keep the floor running successfully.)
• Previous retail experience is preferred. All the necessary training will be provided.

We are looking for individuals who can work AT LEAST 25/30 hours a week, with a flexible schedule. This is a retail environment, so weekends are required. We are ideally looking for an individual who can work a mixture of both opening and closing shifts.
