Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer $90-$120k relocation
Location: Shelby, NC
JOB SUMMARY:
Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes in a manufacturing plant.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Develop best practices, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods for assembly, fabrication and cutting departments. Train employees in these methods.
· Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide
information for management decisions. Research and develop project cost.
· Update or write manufacturing work instructions for existing or new assemblies and fabrication using processes in place. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow. Design
layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
· Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to
ensure efficient production methods.
· Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of
equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications
· Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing
capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production
processes.
· Will apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and
potential.

Education/Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills
· Must be able to read and interpret a technical data package, schematics and drawings.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Ability to gain the trust of manufacturing personnel to be able to communicate/support their daily requirements.
· Basic data entry skills, required; Microsoft Office; drafting skills (preferably computer aided).
· Proven mechanical abilities, knowledge of various electrical and mechanical processes, assembly techniques and hand tool use.
