Job Title: Small Engine and Pneumatic Mechanic

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Small Engine and Pneumatic Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and pneumatic systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The mechanic will be responsible for servicing a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, compressors, and other small machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Identify mechanical issues in small engines and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Perform repairs, replace faulty parts, and conduct routine maintenance on small engines and pneumatic equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Interact with internal team members to discuss repair options, provide estimates, and deliver clear explanations of work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in small engine and pneumatic technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or diploma in mechanical or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in small engine repair and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment; strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or equivalent are desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various positions.
• Ability to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective solutions.
• Meticulous in performing repairs and maintaining records.
• Efficiently manage time to complete repairs and maintenance tasks within deadlines.
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and working in all weather conditions.
• Good physical stamina and dexterity.
