POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining an organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. In addition, the Staff Accountant will assist with financial statement preparation, general ledger analysis, required month reporting and annual audits.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Analyzing daily bank activity; deposits and withdrawals
• Assisting with monthly and yearly closing
• Assisting with annual audit
• Acting as a liaison with accounting software and system vendors
• Providing accounting system support to company locations
• Maintaining and reconciling the company credit card program
• Preparing monthly sales tax reporting
• Providing a backup for AP, AR and Payroll departments
• Recording monthly tenant invoices and deposits for related company
• Preparing Annual Form 1099 reporting
• Assisting with special projects as necessary

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 - 4 Years of experience
