The Assistant Clinical Director supports the Clinical Director by providing strategic leadership and effective supervision of departmental staff, and developing and maintaining successful relationships with clients, staff, and service provider partners.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position provides direct supervision to the regional managers (Lyon, Osage, Morris, Wabaunsee, Greenwood, and Coffey), providers working remotely (employees and contractors), and oversees Chase County and Eskridge office needs.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Language skills are required, including the ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak the English language. This position also requires the ability to interpret written materials, write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present and respond to questions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with hours from 8:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday Friday. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local.
Required Education and Experience
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology, school of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or psychology is minimum required.
Licensure/Certification
Licensure as a master level clinician with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board preferred with special consideration for LSCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LP licensure.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
A minimum of ten years work experience in the mental health services field, with a minimum of five years’ work experience in direct client treatment care; ability to successfully lead and direct a service department and its resources in an effort to support the agency mission; previous supervisory work experience; ability to work with persons with serious emotional disturbance and/or severe and persistent mental illness; possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations; possess prior computer experience in Microsoft Office programs and moderate to advanced computer fluency.
