Crittenton Services is Hiring a Behavioral Specialist Near Fullerton, CA
Shifts AvailableMonday to Friday - 7:00 am to 3:00pm
Monday to Friday - 7:30 am to 3:30pm
Essential Duties
- Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
- Provide support to students and faculty in maintaining a safe, contained learning environment.
- Minimize classroom disruption by anticipating problems and taking appropriate action to avoid crises, interdict disruptive students, and calmly manage challenging situations.
- Assist in conducting behavioral contracts, one-on-one supervision, 15-minute watch directives and other interventions intended to manage individual students as well as maintain safe environment.
- Implement Therapeutic Crisis Intervention as needed to ensure safety of student and the environment.
- Assist to manage overall student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and expectations.
- Monitor and supervise student transitions, meal periods, and breaks.
- Escort/transport students to/from school/campus and on instructional outings as needed
Spanish speaking preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license.
- Experience working with ESL students strongly preferred. (UCP School) Must obtain and maintain TCI certification, First Aid/CPR, and all other required trainings/certifications.
