Summary:
The Credit Assistant performs administrative support duties for the credit division.
What you'll be contributing:

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Makes cash application batch entries in Oracle/JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software.
• Prepares miscellaneous deposits.
• Resolves open customer deductions timely via communications with the customer, the Traffic department, and/or supervisor.
• Assists with the monthly close process for accounts receivable to the general ledger, including entering batched journal vouchers and processing invoices and statements.
• Responds to customer requests for document copies and to credit reference requests.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• 2 Year - Associate Degree technical school degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and general office positions in an automated systems environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office365 and computer applications
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles. General knowledge of office procedures and practices and ten key-by-touch skills
