Position: Help Desk Specialist

A leading provider of IT Services in the Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking a full-time, permanent Help Desk Specialist to join their growing team. Here are a few reasons why you should apply:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this role, you'll be providing technical end-user support to a variety of client environments assisting with user administration, Office 365 Application support, software & hardware support, remote connectivity, server support & network support. Great opportunity to work with a variety of tools, software & hardware.

Preferred Experience for the Help Desk Specialist:

  • Experience within a Help Desk or Technical support role utilizing a ticketing system and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Office 365 Administration Portal, Active Directory administration, and using Ticketing Systems or Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) tools like ConnectWise or similar.
  • Familiarity with Firewalls, VLANs and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Comfortable providing end-user support via phone, RMM tools, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Experience for the Help Desk Specialist:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications, etc.
  • Experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
  • Experience with any of the following: ConnectWise, IT Glue, SolarWinds, WatchGuard, Ruckus, Veeam, Cisco Networking Products, Extreme Network Products, Ubiquiti, VMWare, Dell, Axix, 3OX and Adobe.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, VPN, Citrix, VoIP, etc.
