Ankura is Hiring a Senior Director, Technical Accounting and M&A Leader Near Washington, DC

Practice Overview:

Our Accounting & Finance team works remotely, however our culture is highly collaborative. We prioritize a continuous learning environment, focused on skill development and career growth. A successful candidate is someone with strong accounting knowledge, and a growth mindset, who is focused on innovation and process improvement. This is a remote based role but is ideally located in the eastern or central time zone with a preference for the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of the technical accounting function

Research and prepare technical accounting memorandums, develop and maintain policies and procedures

Provide subject matter expertise to the financial reporting team for complex accounting areas for recording and reporting, include stock compensation

Build and maintain partner equity models for equity interest and accounting

Work with Carta system on partner interests

Lead Finance M&A due diligence and integration

Manage the ongoing accounting for complex accounting areas, including stock-based compensation, leases, commissions, and other

Collaborate on valuations for acquisitions

Lead Finance Transaction workstreams (equity recapitalizations, debt refinancings)

Due diligence related to equity/debt events

Liaison with business development, FPA, senior leadership and sponsors on due diligence activities

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field

10 years of relevant technical accounting experience

Preference for prior experience in consulting/professional services firm

CPA preferred
