Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Sealant Batch Operator III at our manufacturing facility in Cheyenne, WY.

Seeking a Sealant Batch Operator III at our sealant plant in Cheyenne, WY! This working Batch/Mix Operator III position includes a leadership role responsible for the direct manufacturing of all sealants according to production schedules, and guidelines set forth by the engineering department, while training others in proper sealant manufacturing as needed.

Specific Duties include:

• Coordinate the various sealant production functions to ensure an efficient, on schedule, and safe work environment.
• Provide proper training to assigned personnel to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment and performance of duties.
• Assist in developing a cross-trained work force with the ability to perform a variety of duties and functions within the sealant mixing department.
• Experience mixing various raw materials per batch forms, following all instructions as detailed by sealant engineering.
• Make recommendations to the Production Supervisor & Plant Manager in the areas of equipment, tools, fixtures, processes, and personnel.
• Maintain established quality standards for the correct manufacture of Crafco products.
• Ensure proper handling, organization and storage of raw materials to enable easy access and eliminate damage.
• Responsible for accuracy, completeness and timelines of approved paperwork as required.
• Maintain a positive communication line with employees assigned to the department and with the Plant Manager.
• Responsible for assisting Production Supervisor with accurate inventory counts of all items utilized in the area.

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years' experience with production/Batching in manufacturing or plant operations.
• Quality certifications, Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement backgrounds are preferred, and candidates with these attributes will have higher consideration.
• Computer Proficiency including email, Word, Excel, and MS Office applications and proprietary systems.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role such as standing for long periods of time, bending, and/or lifting. May work with adverse conditions such as hot/cold environments and odor from materials. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work flexible work schedules, overtime, and weekends when required.
• Working knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and requirements preferred.
