Cornerstone Learning Community (CLC) is seeking an experienced nearly full-time* PreK-8th Grade Spanish Teacher to join its faculty for the fall of the 2024/25 school year and beyond. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and dedicated educator to teach Spanish in a dynamic and professional learning community. (*The position is approx. 30 hours and full time is 35 hours. There may be the possibility of additional responsibilities to increase the hours to over 35 depending on candidate and school needs.)

As the PreK-8th Grade Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction in Spanish to students in various grade levels. You will design and implement engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
Responsibilities:

• Teach Spanish language and culture to students in PreK-8th grade.
• Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
• Develop and implement effective assessment methods to evaluate students' language proficiency.
• Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Spanish instruction across the curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
• Develop and deliver International Baccalaureate programming for middle school students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency).
• Experience teaching Spanish to diverse student populations (both background, age, and learning profile).
• Knowledge of effective language teaching methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Interest in pursing professional development for IB programs.
