General Summary

Under the leadership and direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor, this position maintains the company Inventory Accuracy Program. The primary focus is to maintain the highest levels of inventory accuracy to ensure quality of products, production efficiencies, and customer compliance. The Inventory Control Specialist will complete consumption in ERP system, validate movement and storage of materials in proper locations both electronically and physically. Daily activities include data entry, data analysis, order entry and reconciliation, and periodic validation of bin contents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data entry of inventory consumption for raw ingredients and packaging materials.
• Audit consumption documentation for accuracy.
• Review and research any quantity discrepancies that occur during the transfer or consumption of materials.
• Prepare cycle count and physical inventory materials.
• Perform cycle counts of finished goods, WIP items, packaging, raw materials and any other non-inventory items and record data either manually or in ERP system.
• Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records and request appropriate inventory adjustments.
• Identify items in inventory for defects or damage and report this information to Quality Assurance and the Inventory Control Supervisor for disposition.
• Overtime as required and will be involved in occasional weekend quarterly and/or FYE physical inventories as needed.
• Keep inventory areas organized and ensure all inventory is appropriately labeled.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

• Ability to read, write and interpret information.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (MS Dynamics Navision/SAP).
• Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word).
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to intermittently squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull.
• Ability to lift/carry items less than 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at height and/or utilize powered industrial equipment (optional)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
