Job Summary 

The Mission Command Battle Lab (MCBL) is the U.S. Army Futures Command’s (AFC) premier lab for experimentation on the Command and Control (C2) Warfighting Function (WfF), Echelons Above Brigade (EAB) and the integration of all WfFs. MCBL investigates emerging concepts and technologies, and explores the deep future through experimentation, studies, and prototyping to inform C2 capability development and EAB modernization efforts. MCBL proposes solutions within the Science and Technology (S&T) community, the generating force, and operational force.

BMA is seeking a Scenario Lead to support the MCBL in its mission to conduct experimentations, studies, and prototyping that inform C2 capability development and EAB modernization efforts support of Mission Command Capability Development and Integration Directorate (CDID) and the Futures and Concept Center’s (FCC) experimentation plan. 

Clearance Requirements 

There is a Secret security clearance requirement for this position. 

Required Skills & Certifications 

• Minimum 5 years in scenario development supporting U.S. Army and or Service experimentation and Joint exercises.
• Must have Joint Service expertise/experience. 
• Must have breadth of knowledge from service in EAB planning and Joint Staff planning experience. 
• Must have experience generating and reviewing slides in support of Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and conditions, support material and additional background information. 

Desired Skills & Certifications 

• Desire to learn the Operational Wargaming System (OWS) and provide unit generation support of tokens that must be produced for each team (Red/Blue) to be used in Vassal (open-source game engine for building and online adaptations on a board. 
• Ability to design and conduct relatively simple, scalable, and quick low-overhead agile wargames that help inform C2 analytical research, foresight, and advisory concept development activities.
