Supervisory Responsibilities:
Auditory Verbal Interns, ClinicalFellows, Graduate Students, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
Position Summary:
Provide assessment and treatment of the audition, speech, and languageskills of children with hearing loss in the child's home language(Spanish). The SLP will be required todevelop and implement treatment plans while providing parent-centered,auditory-based therapy in the family's home language.
Major Responsibilities
•Perform patient evaluations andinterpret results (inEnglish and Spanish)
•Provide evidenced-based treatment inbased on the assessment results and prescribed plan of care (in English and Spanish)
•Administer speech and language screenings (asnecessary)
•Meet position productivity expectations
•Mentor assigned students and CFYs (if applicable)
•Work toward and maintainAuditory-Verbal certification
•Prepareand participate in lectures as assigned to the local and professional community
•Participatein an annual review and mutual goal planning for professional development andperformance
•Participate in staff developmentprograms
•Practicein accordance with the ASHA and AG Bell Academy for Listening and SpokenLanguage Code of Ethics

Education and Experience Requirements:
Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathologyrequired
1-3 years of professional speech-language pathology experience withpediatrics preferred

Complex Problem Solving Skills:

o Successfullymanage a schedule to include patient appointments, meetings, etc
o Performall job-related tasks without compromising direct patient care
o Successfullymanage difficult cases; request assistance from Director of the Speech TherapyServices as necessary

Physical Demands:
