Short Description:The radiation therapists deliver radiation treatments to patients. This job description has been updated to reflect new technologies and new duties.
Deliver radiation treatment to patients according to the Radiation Oncologists prescription |
Perform CT Simulation as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist to optimize the patients treatment position in comfort and reproducibility |
Utilize the hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to record patient treatment delivery, document patient positioning information, and communicate any pertinent information regarding the patients care coordination |
The radiation therapist will ensure a positive and compassionate patient experience by providing support and education |
Perform daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulator |
Participate in on-call procedure |
Schedule patients for simulation and treatment |
Perform daily billing for treatment and simulation |
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas |
Mold Room Duties |
Demonstrate commitment to collaborative professional relationships with physicians and all members of the health care team |
