Job Description:

The Apprentice Tech Refrigeration provides support to an installation team. with display case drains, walk in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping. You’ll also enhance your skills with welding and installation of cold storage items. The ideal Candidate will be open to working evening/night/overnight hours, work throughout the state of Colorado, and willing to travel where the projects are located. Keys to success will be a willingness and desire to learn, be a dedicated and safe team member, and strong communicator.

You will also work on short as well as long term projects. Hands on experience not required, but highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install refrigeration equipment such as: display case drains, walk in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping, etc. All while under the supervision and guidance of a Sr Technician. 
• You will use some power and hand tools and will be expected to wear all required PPE.
• Installation of all types of piping including Victaulic (grooved), threaded piping, PVC, copper (brazing or pro-press), apex, copper line sets

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Education or experience equivalent to a High school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school.
• 6 months - 1 years of experience in the construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or other related industry/trade preferred.
• Ability to use basic power and hand tools including drills, fuel gas tools, electrical meters, measurement tools, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Strong work ethic, safety conscious, and good communication skills
• Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to perform work in accordance with safe work practices and rules.
