Cretex Concrete Products, Inc. is Hiring a DOT Truck Driver Near Grand Junction, CO

We are currently recruiting DOT Truck Drivers at our Grand Junction, Colorado location. This position will operate a truck and trailer and will work in the plant on occasion when no loads are available. The driver will be regional, with minimal to no overnights. The driver must be able to efficiently, accurately, and safely load and strap down product according to the FMCSA standards. The driver must follow all established documentation procedures as required. Further, the driver must demonstrate initiative and the ability to work well with little supervision. Good driving record for the last three years. Performs daily vehicle inspections and maintenance and follows state and federal rules and regulations to operate a commercial vehicle. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, contractors and team members. Must always provide great customer service. This position is Monday thru Friday; some over-time required during the week and on occasions some Saturdays.

**Essential Functions:**

* Safely secure loads and transport in a timely manner to job sites as dispatched.

* Perform daily maintenance checks on truck prior to driving the truck each day.

* Follow state and federal rules and regulations to operate a commercial vehicle.

* Coordinate with dispatch with appropriate drive hours and ensure not exceeding hours of service per rules of the FMCSA.

* Notify supervisor and lead driver of any maintenance issues with the truck, so any repairs or preventative maintenance can be performed as needed.

* Operate a knuckle boom crane

* Performs special projects or assignments as directed.

**Qualifications/ Requirements:**

* Current valid Class A CDL driver' license with double and triple air brakes required.

* Must be certified to operate a Knuckle Boom Crane

* Current and valid Federal Medical Card.

* Forklift experience preferred, but not required.

* High school diploma required.

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* 1 years of related driving experience preferred but not necessary.

* Knowledge in manufacturing and production experience preferred, but not necessary.

* Must be able to work hours beyond the normal workday as required by the business cycle.

* Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.

* Emotional Intelligence Individual must have strong interpersonal skills, is adaptable, and able to collaborate with all levels from production employees to management level.

* Results Oriented Knows each delivery is time sensitive.

* Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner always with all levels of employees.

* Strong attention to detail along with prioritization and organizational skills to achieve results.

* Commitment to building a positive culture.

* Proactive problem-solving techniques.

* Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills.

* Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.

* Employee occasionally required to talk, hear, stand, walk, push, pull, sit, use hands, handle, feel, reach with hands or arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.

* Job sometimes demands close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

* While performing duties, employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. Noise level is also high in the work environment. Appropriate safety equipment is provided by the company for all employees.

* Ability to perform minor maintenance such as oil changes, greasing trucks and trailers is a plus but will train the right person.
