Control Systems Specialist (OT/PLC/HMI)

Contech Control Services is seeking team-oriented professionals who have proven knowledge of Operational Technology (OT), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and Human Machine Interface (HMI) configuration, graphics, and logic programming of industrial control systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Control System Specialist performs a wide range of duties, including the following:

• Responsible for selection, configuration, and troubleshooting services related to control systems, including PLC, HMI, serial interface, and networking.
• Support operations on different sites across the U.S.
• Plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of automation projects.
• May be responsible for assisting with control philosophy and/or functional descriptions.
• Communicate progress to manager.
• Responsible for quality of the control system portion of the project.

Requirements:

The Control System Specialist requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• BS Degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10 years of experience in OT, networking, and server maintenance/troubleshooting related to industrial facilities.
• 10 years of control system engineering experience related to Allen-Bradley PLCs, Allen-Bradley PanelView, and Wonderware are required.
• Troubleshooting and configuration experience with other PLC, HMI, DCS, or SIS systems is a plus.
• Experience related to plant maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft software products is required.

Working conditions are as follows:

• Type: Full Time, 6-months (with possible extension), Full Benefits.
• Standard Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:00pm.
• Overtime: Occasionally.
• Travel: Up to 50%.
