Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic, college preparatory school, committed to the intellectual, spiritual, artistic, physical, and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. Responsibilities include:
•Teach study skills classes, to ensure students understand which skills work best for their style of learning
•Assist students with executive functioning and organization
•Remain in close contact with parents and teachers
•Ensure students are receiving the appropriate classroom accommodations
•Review grades and progress reports
•Develop intervention plans with students, parents, and teachers when necessary
•Monitor homework club at least one afternoon a week
•Identify and address student academic concerns through positive problem-solving strategies
•Support faculty and staff concerning academic concerns of their students
•Communicate necessary information with parents about their student when appropriate
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in special education or related field
•Commitment to embrace the school's mission and values
•Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and passion for developing young women of action
•Commitment to working collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
•Experience using a variety of pedagogical strategies
•Enjoys working collaboratively to develop and plan curricula.
•Proven experience engaging students in class experiences that foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity
