The Regional Manager is the business leader for an assigned geography. The Regional Manager creates and manages growth strategies servicing dealers, educators and influencers. Thorough market understanding, account planning, consistent and timely communication, and deep product knowledge is key to acting as a true partner and advisor to dealers, educators, and influencers. The Regional Manager leads a team with an Educational Support Manager and Sales Engineer to create territory specific strategies and goals, foster relationships, generate leads, identify opportunities, and close sales to grow market share and ensure the long-term success of Conn-Selmer within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads weekly team meetings and sales activities with ESM’s, Inside Sales, Customer Engagement and Dealer Credit to identify and ensure achievement of immediate and long-term sales goals
  • Drives strategic planning and key initiatives including content creation schedules, new sku builds, sales promotions, master orders and all other activity relating to assigned dealers.
  • Plans and executes all territory sales events, trade shows, etc
  • Meet or exceed territory KPI’s and Strategic Initiatives
  • Identifies and maintains strong relationships with top category specific key influencers in all MSA’s
  • Plans yearly sales opportunities with top influencers
  • Continually develops and updates sales funnels by prospecting new key influencer and educational leads and opportunities
  • Directs ESM and works with DOE to develop SBID opportunities, manage funnel an
    d realize sales growth
  • Strategically manages all independent dealers within the assigned territory. Utilizing sales engineer for support.
  • Performs quarterly account planning meetings with top accounts
  • Develops dealer product training goals using primarily digital resources and in-person sessions as necessary
  • Travels as necessary to attend sales events, dealer meetings, clinics, festivals, workshops and conferences
  • Manage all territory CRM data and sales metrics including trip logs, conversations and any material information detailing, leads, opportunities, threats, and feedback.
  • Report out on YTD/MTD metrics, KPI’s and strategic initiatives as requested by management
  • Attend all training and meetings sponsored by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Music Performance or Music Education. MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated successful track record of territory sales in the music industry
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and projects simultaneously and effectively lead cross departmental initiatives and meet deadlines on time or ahead of schedule
  • Competency in the use of a CRM system such as Microsoft CE or Salesforce.com
  • Competency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as firm understanding of financial principles included margin analysis and sales forecasting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including command of the English language, listening, and presentation ability.
  • Strong thinking and creative skills combining seasoned judgment, visionary thinking, financial acumen and global perspective. Demonstrated ability to work in complex situations and cross-cultural business situations.
  • Comfortable dealing with all levels of the organization and capable to shape strategy and drive efficient and timely execution.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative willing to challenge and disrupt status quo and think outside the box
  • Must be able to travel independently approximately 50% of the time.
  • Requires ability to stand on feet for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
  • Ability to remain in a sedentary position for extended lengths of time.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs for display set up and tear down.
