*Medical Assistant*
Shift/Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Availability from 7am-7pm dependent on department.
*Holiday/Weekend Requirement:*
* Weekends: Rotating Saturdays and Sundays.
* Holidays: Clinics closed on holidays. Care Today may open if there are enough volunteers; past three years have had sufficient volunteers. All employees may need to work holidays at some point; seniority allows most to take PTO. Time and a half pay for holiday hours worked. On-call/Per diem staff help cover holidays.
*On Call Requirement:* None
*Responsibilities:*
As a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C), you will assist providers and other healthcare team members by performing back-office and patient-related tasks for a smooth workflow. Responsibilities include injections, EKGs, ear lavage, blood draws, managing patient vital signs, rooming, and flow, supporting the patient visit, and informing the provider of schedule changes that impact patient flow.

*Must Haves:*
* Certification: Medical Assistant, Certified through WA State
* Experience: Preferably 2 years
* Education: High School Diploma or GED
*Preferred:*
* Urgent care experience
*About the Unit:*
* Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric. Patton Clinic includes Care Today/Family Medicine. Pioneer Clinic includes specialties such as OB, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Podiatry, Urology, Pain Management, Behavioral Health, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, and Care Today.
* MA to Patient Ratio: Patton 17-25 patients/day, Pioneer 5-25 patients/day.
* Competencies Lacking in Current Team: Critical thinking, safe judgment in decision making, ability to practice within legal and ethical guidelines, competency on equipment and skills.
