Morrow & Associates is Hiring a Vice President Asset Management Near Atlanta, GA

On behalf of our client, who is a well-established, entrepreneurial, top tier real estate firm, we are hiring a VP, Asset Management. They are a privately held, developer/owner/manager of Class-A multifamily who has developed 40K units throughout the Southeast & Texas.

Due to growth, they are creating a new position, VP, Asset Management. This person will be 1 of 1 on the asset management platform and will lead the strategic direction of all owned assets, new developments and dispositions while working hand in hand with the SVP of Capital Markets & CEO. This is a unique type of role that is integral to the growth of the firm. This position will allow the development team to focus solely on growth and development without the added responsibility of asset management.

This person must reside in Atlanta or Charlotte and will work from home, travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years in multifamily real estate asset management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, real estate or related field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and push need-to-know information upstream as warranted
  • Capability of simultaneously handling multiple assignments and to direct and monitor the activities of others on a systematic basis
  • Understanding of risk management and portfolio diversification
  • Ability to make presentations to senior management, investment committee, or clients. Strong quantitative skills demonstrated analytical ability, and business writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytical abilities
  • Highly effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Robust interpersonal skills and social intelligence

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide general asset management and strategic direction for a portfolio of owned properties, new developments, and dispositions
  • Oversee the budget process and preparation of the annual strategic plan for all current and new properties in the portfolio
  • Review periodic property reports and track operating performance. Prepare regular updates summarizing results and respond to information requests
  • Serve as the market expert for the owner. Understand general trends and individual property markets / submarkets
  • Review appraisals and/or BOVs for factual accuracy and consistency with other similar properties
  • Work with executive team on the selection of investments sales brokers for to be sold properties
  • Assist and eventually lead the disposition of properties
  • Conduct analyses of various investment decisions – financing; hold/sell, etc
