Axon is Hiring a Remote Senior Director, Corporate Accounting and Global Consolidations (Remote)

Your Impact 

You will have overall responsibility for Corporate Accounting and global consolidation, working closely with the Revenue and SEC reporting teams to support the company’s financial reporting deliverables. This role requires strong team leadership skills, specifically managing and building best-in-class, operationally focused teams and fostering effective and collaborative cross-functional relationships.


What You’ll Do

Location: Remotely from USA
Reports to: VP, Accounting
Direct Reports:

  • Oversee global consolidations, including US GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Government accounting and compliance utilizing Dynamics 365 and adjacent systems
  • Collaborate with business and functional leaders, including Commercial Controllership, Revenue, FP&A, SEC reporting, Tax, IT, and Internal Audit to coordinate information flow and drive operational excellence and robust controls to deliver a high quality and timely close
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly management financial reporting deliverables, will be key liaison with external auditors
  • Build and develop a high-performance team, establish and continuously improve business processes and procedures to drive scalability in a high growth environment
  • Oversee the analysis and diagnosis of KPI and productivity Close metrics to optimize operational results over time
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to design, lead and implement process transformation to drive seamless Close and reporting process
  • Lead special projects such as M&A integration, ERP upgrade, new accounting and reporting standards implementation

What You Bring

  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • BS or equivalent in accounting or finance
  • CPA
  • A mix of Big 4 and industry experience managing global consolidations and financial systems function at complex and multi-national publicly-traded companies
  • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (D365, HFM, Microsoft office and Power platform)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in implementing various analytical techniques for Close cycle
  • Experience in managing a global team
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with M&A integration
  • Experience with leading ERP implementation/upgrade
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization and technology skills

The Ideal Candidate May Also Have

  • Experience with D365, Microsoft Power Platform and Hyperion Financial Management a plus
  • Strong technical accounting and documentation skills, ability to research complex accounting matters
  • Government accounting experience in Aerospace or Defense industry a plus
  • Financial Planning & Analysis Experience
  • Strong financial systems skill
  • Understanding of transfer pricing methodology and approach

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 140,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 250,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
