KEY OBJECTIVES
As the Chief Accounting Officer, your key objectives will be:
Financial Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and integrity in all financial data and statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls to safeguard the company's financial interests.
Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and execute strategic financial plans that align with the organization's growth objectives. This includes effective budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to optimize financial resources and support sustainable growth.
Risk Management: Proactively identify financial risks and implement robust internal control systems to mitigate them. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments to safeguard the company's assets and reputation.
Timely Financial Reporting : Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. These reports will provide critical information to management, board members, and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Stay updated on evolving accounting regulations and ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws, standards, and reporting requirements. This includes adherence to GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and other applicable guidelines.
Team Leadership and Development : Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and ensure the effective execution of accounting functions.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and auditors to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Facilitate effective communication regarding financial matters, promoting transparency and alignment across the organization.
Continuous Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Leverage technology and automation where appropriate to streamline operations and improve financial operations.
Financial Strategy and Analysis: Provide strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and actionable recommendations to support key business decisions. Identify cost-saving opportunities, drive profitability, and lead growth initiatives through insightful financial planning and analysis.
Audit and Compliance Management: Manage external audits, liaise with auditors, and oversee the implementation of audit recommendations. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
These key objectives will guide your role as the Chief Accounting Officer, enabling you to drive financial excellence, mitigate risks, and contribute to the organization's overall success.
REQUIREMENTS
    • 15 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
    • Prior experience in the payments processing industry, an acquirer, bank, fintech, and at a large, global organization ($300MM ) - Highly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance (Master's degree/MBA is a plus)
    • Deep understanding of GAAP, advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planningHands-on implementation experience with large ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, JD Edwards preferred)
    • Executive experience with SaaS business models and revenue recognitionExceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skillsDemonstrated leadership ability and confidence
    • Highly flexible with an entrepreneurial mindset
    • A plus if:
    • Prior video game industry experienceAn entrepreneurial mindset M&A experienceAn active CPA
$300,000 - $375,000 a year
