As the Finance Manager, you will lead and manage the Finance & Accounting functions to ensure that all financial reporting and analyses is generated for management and operations in a timely and accurate manner so they can effectively and successfully manage the business.

Responsibilities:
· Manages the Accounting processes, as it relates to general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and other tasks, ensuring accurate and on-time processing and results
· Manages the payroll function and related tax reporting, ensuring accuracy in processing, reporting and compliance with multi-state regulations
· Oversees and prepares all month-end processes, to include all business unit WIPs, journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and prepaids, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
· Manages the monthly closing and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of data and alignment to the financial reporting schedule
· Records and reconciles all financial transactions on a monthly basis to ensure revenue is recognized properly, and all transactions are properly and timely recorded.
· Manages the financial analysis of the business; reports on budget variances, provides variance analysis and suggestions to the management team to ensure budgetary goals are achieved
· Provides leadership and mentoring to the team to continually enhance the competency of the department
· Manages the treasury function of the business, along with all related lender reporting and covenant compliance, to ensure the business is maintaining sufficient liquidity to effectively operate
· Manages the annual financial audit process to ensure U.S. GAAP reporting compliance, along with implementing corrective actions to eliminate or improve areas of weakness
· Stays up to date on all compliance matters and U.S. GAAP standards to ensure best practice & compliance with procedures and internal controls within the department
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting required
· 7 years of progressive experience in Financial and Accounting management and leadership, within a construction, engineering, or related industry
· CPA Preferred
· Excellent math and technical accounting skills required; excellent planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills; high attention to details and ability to analyze large amounts of data; analytical and logical thinker who can problem-solve and implement solutions; excellent with time management
· Advanced ERP system, processes, and validation skills required; experience with JD Edwards is required; Expert in Excel, with advanced knowledge in the other Microsoft Office products. Willingness to learn and utilize other software systems in this role
· Advanced verbal and written communication skills; able to present to groups and educate/train others
· Strong customer (internal and external) focus, excellent leadership and change-management skills, with the ability to listen, motivate, and influence others to action; high integrity and compliance mindset, with the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion; flexible and adaptable to change
Work Environment & Travel
· This position is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise
· Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
· Limited travel may be required
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
