Position: Vice President, Organisation & People (Business Partner)

Salary Range : $125K- $140K Annually (based on experience)

Job Description:

The Vice President/ Business Partner of Organization and People (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s O& P operations for our United States office, with primarily focus in San Francisco, California office. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, for our team. This role reports directly to Director of O&P in New York and MD in Singapore.

Essential Functions:

Oversees the daily O&P workflow for the SF office

Act as a main point of contact for both employees and managers in the organisation. The role requires close liaison with business leaders to deliver forward-looking solutions, programmes and policies

Can operate as a generalist, competent across the whole HR spectrum of responsibilities and contribute to the development and delivery of the business and people strategy

Possesses the gravitas to work with the leadership team and able to play a consultative role and is confident and assertive enough to stand on the ground to implement HR solutions

Understand the unique intricacies of the organisation in order to value add and work closely with the business offer sound human capital advice and solutions

Act as the performance improvement driver to influence positive changes in the business environment and maintain strong, effective and transparent delivery of communication

Commercially aware and able to anticipate the business challenges

Have strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment laws, human resources and talent management

Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety and other laws, regulations and requirements for California.

Manage and collaborate with the broader O&P team to drive and deliver end to end HR solutions such as talent acquisition, performance reviews, talent development, mobility, learning programmes and compensation reviews. 

Assist the HR team with diversity and inclusion efforts

Assist in monitoring the compliance of the Expense Management system along with the Director of Finance and O & P Director in NY.

Keep an open mind on role extension/ coverage since it’s a small office

Qualifications

Min. 12 years and above of experience across multiple human resources disciplines, such as talent acquisition and development, employee retention, employee relations, organisational effectiveness and compensation practices. The candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with the strong ability to adapt to changing business environments, decsions and policies. He/She is a relationship builder with strong communications and collaborative skills.

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving competency.

Exercise excellent judgment and discretion.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations for California.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred or HR certification.
