PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the assigned development team in all aspects of donor / prospect strategies.
  • Participate in the development of fundraising communications materials for the faculty team and craft / proof-read documents and publications.
  • Participate in the planning, organization and follow-up of meetings, relevant committees, activities, events and programs initiated by the faculties or UA units as requested by the Principal Director.
  • Maintaining information in the alumni / donor database ensuring data integrity through monitoring the dashboard and scorecards and ensuring adherence to defined data entry standards.
  • Support the Development team and the DES team in the drafting of gift agreements and other donor-related materials; work in collaboration with DES to ensure timely delivery of annual impact reports.
  • Process gift entry forms, gift adjustments, expense reports, invoices, cheque requisitions, travel and promotional arrangements.
  • Coordinate queries for AIS reports and retrieval info from the database for projects.
  • Adhere to Prospect Management guidelines and effectively use the established Dashboards. On behalf of the Development team, regularly enter contact reports, follow-up actions and updates to prospect solicitations into the alumni / donor database for the benefit of all users and the institutional memory;

extract information including biographical profiles, prospect pipeline and other related reports.

Perform other duties in support of the unit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to two years’ work experience, ideally in fundraising, community engagement or communications.
  • Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English and French language skills to communicate information effectively and clearly.
  • Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manipulate and retrieve data in a database structure, excellent knowledge of on-line retrieval services and internet search tools.
  • Familiarity with standard references and development research techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent listening and interpretive skills.
  • Proven ability to interact in a professional manner and build positive relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate and apply creative solutions, superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a keen sense of integrity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated attention to accuracy and excellent judgment.
