Lead Test Engineer
Location: Columbia, SC or Remote Based, US Only
About The Role
The Lead QA Test Engineer for the Hansen CIS.B team will be responsible planning, developing, automating and executing testing for Maintenance corrections, Product Development initiatives, and software customizations requested by the customer base. Additionally a lead of test engineers takes on people manager responsibilities for a small to medium team. Responsible for strategic direction regarding test strategies, automated test strategies, project planning and HR duties.
About You :

• You are a highly enthusiastic individual with proven 3 or more years' experience in testing and deploying high quality, highly reliable, scalable applications, APIs, and user-interfaces in a team environment and .previous hands-on experience using automated testing.
• You a Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent experience/accreditations or bring previous coursework or experience in software development, quality assurance or related fields.
• You have a strong working knowledge and application of the Agile development, SDLC, and QA methodologies with a demonstrable knowledge of QA methodologies (Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, Black box, White box, Load testing).
• Your technical skills include knowledge and application of Oracle database access and SQL Plus® and a high proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Rest and Non-Restful API testing experience
• You have experience with Automated Testing applications (Cypress is desirable) and previously have worked with or have exposure to performance and automation testing.
• Your interpersonal skills are excellent and you are an effective and proficient oral and written communicator with effective decision-making skills and planning skills who has the ability to present to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will manage a team of 2-8 test engineers and strategically plan test activities with projects in support of Hansen Software Development and CIS-B Software Delivery.
• Work with SW Development and SW Deliver Managers providing support in writing and executing test scenarios to detect faults within software and related documentation and evaluate test results and accurately record defects.
• You are involved in the sprint planning to understand the user stories and acceptance criteria while working within agile sprint teams to conduct component and system level testing.
• You support developers to design testable software to ensure quality standards and procedures are always followed
• You produce clear and concise testing documentation utilizing Atlassian JIRA Issue and Project Tracking application tools
