**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing processes and coding, ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims. Also, home health experience is a huge plus!
**Responsibilities:**
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical billing software to process claims
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim denials or discrepancies
- Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues
**Experience:**
- Proficiency in medical billing systems and software
- Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and medical coding principles
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations
- Ability to interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and requirements for claim submission
