Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Associate is an integral part of our team’s success. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating machinery to move materials around the facility for shipping, and processing. This might include unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, physical inventory counting, stacking product general housekeeping, and ability to work multiple hours in a (-20C) (-4F) environment. The incumbent will need to be experienced and comfortable using hand truck, order-picker, forklift, and walkie to transport items. This is an onsite, Monday-Friday position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick and pack reagent using a scanner, ambient, -20C and 4C
• Pick and Pack spare parts and instruments using a scanner
• Report inventory discrepancies to warehouse manager
• Assembles, builds, wraps, sorts, and transports customer orders.
• Operates hand truck, cart, doilies, forklift, order-picker, and walkie to transport items
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Possible travel to other Akoya locations within Marlborough, MA (5 mile radius)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• High School diploma or the equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training
• Previous warehouse picking and packing experience
• Experience using Rf scanning tool
• Demonstrated success working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where an ability to multi-task is essential
• Experience in biotech or instrument business preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to follow the Company’s safety standards and policies & procedures
• Experience with FedEx ship manger system or equivalent 3rd party shipping software
• Ability to follow directions and instructions communicated by management and leadership team
• Ability to complete all warehouse responsibilities
• Ability to work in safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Able to consistently lift 50 LBS regularly
• Ability to respond to sounds quickly
• Valid driver’s license

The hiring range for this position is $20 - $27 per hour, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
