A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician for a promising opportunity at one of their clinics in the Bronx as a Primary Care Provider. In this role, the Primary Care Provider will be responsible for screening, diagnoses, and treatment of patients for providing such care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, and for making appropriate internal and external referrals.
Responsibilities:
The Primary Care Provider will:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients according to pre-arranged schedules
• Documentcare promptly and followcharting protocols
• Ensure appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care (e.g., specialty referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports, etc.)
• Providecare to patients living with HIV
• Participate in didactics, precepting, and case conferencing in order to build competency in HIV care
• Assist in continuous quality improvement through ongoing problem/needs identification and problem-solving
• Maintain familiarity with clinical guidelines and current treatment protocols in areas, such astransgender health, GEN care, and STI care
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a Medical Practice and/or similar setting
• Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
• Board Eligible / Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and/or Infectious Disease specialty
• DEA Controlled Substances certification / registration
• CPR certification
