Compass Health Center is Hiring a Remote OCD/Complex Anxiety, Center of Excellence Leader

The Center of Excellence is excited to be growing and is looking for clinical experts to join the team. The role of the Center of Excellence (COE) team at Compass, is to establish and maintain clinical best practice including program curriculum, clinical role expectations, protocols and procedures. The purpose of COE is to facilitate the launch and ongoing support of new sites. COE’s inaugural site was the Oakbrook location in 2021. It has supported the standardization of existing virtual programs and launched new virtual offerings, and had a pivotal role in launching Compass’s first out of state location in 2023. Lastly, COE is working towards standardization at Northbrook and Chicago, the two original Compass sites.

Location: This will be a remote position with required travel to on-site Compass locations both in Illinois and outside of the state.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and refine both the program curricula (for both over and under 18) for future locations . Group curricula will include a uniform format, incorporation into a larger clinical model (e.g., ACT, CBT) and instructions for how to read/implement the program curriculum.
  • Assist in the development of a training rubric for program staff onboarding and new program launched.
  • Oversee the defining and refining the clinical roles for the programs (Directors, Associate Directors, Primary Clinical Therapist, Family Therapist, Group Therapist, Program Assistant, Education Specialist, Resource Therapist etc.). Collaborate with the other COE leaders to create and update manuals for each of these roles.
  • Establish best practices for clinical processes and daily program operations through consultation with existing programs and collaboration with COE team
  • Build content in the Electronic Medical Record that supports the curriculum and clinical roles as needed.
  • Provide curriculum design and evaluation assistance to existing sites as needed.
  • Adjust and develop the rotational model for integration of OCD/Complex Anxiety program curriculum.
  • Curate the online repository of curriculum, clinical role expectations/manuals and clinical program operations guidelines for future program launches
  • Provide support to identified programs/sites post launch, including but not limited to modeling milieu management, demonstrating new group skills, observing primary sessions and providing training and consultation.
  • Direct observation of clinical work
  • Consultation with program leaders

  • Review of program outcome measures to identify program strengths and need for growth
  • Review of charts to ensure clinical best practices are being followed.
  • Support of performance improvement initiatives..
  • Serve as a member of the organization’s Performance Improvement Committee, representing newly launched programs and incorporating successful strategies into emerging program designs.
  • Ensure that emerging program design and curriculum comply with organizational policy and Joint Commission standards
  • Participate in the needs assessment for and the development of “Clinical Communities” across locations within the organization (e.g. exposure therapists, trauma therapists).
  • Contributing Expertise to Recruiting and HR Decisions for emerging programs
  • As needed clinical consultant/clinical supervisor
  • Contributing to clinically focused marketing content and speaking opportunities
  • Provide input into the future development of the Center of Excellence model/team.
  • Provide both internal and external facing community education events.
  • Predominantly virtual with occasional on-site meetings/observations

Who You Are:

  • Expertise in exposure therapy, preferably incorporating the inhibitory learning model and/or acceptance and commitment therapy
  • Licensed Doctorate Level Psychologist or a master’s Level Clinician with clinical license.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Clinical experience conducting intakes, assessments, individual, family and group experience
  • Knowledge/experience of group dynamics utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) clinical models.
  • Experience with patients in crisis
  • Experience with program development
  • Experience with staff training and public speaking
  • Experience interviewing and hiring
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Able to guide teams through change
